As of October 9th 2019, we introduce changes in the EUI when adding a Credit Card as payment method. These changes ensure that the platform adheres to the PSD2 guidelines stated in the September 14, 2019 EU legal journal.
1. We request a verification amount of $1.00 / €1.00 (this is not charged from the card).
2. Risk calculation on the transaction is performed and EMnify may present an authentication challenge.
- If the bank approves the transaction and user verification is not required, card verification is completed in the EMnify platform immediately.

- If user verification is required, a dialog window is presented and the user must authenticate the transaction with the credentials of their bank:

Note: The styling of the dialog window shown in Figure 2. will vary depending on the issuing bank.
In the rare case that a high decline-rate for transactions occurs for credit card details added before September 14, 2019, EMnify may request directly that the credit card details are removed and re-added to establish the SCA mandate.
