Registered and used SIM card in austria, does not work in italy....
Hi,
what am i missing here?

Hi Wolfgang,
The warning message can be expanded and the message states "Disconnecting data access for endpoint, because it has been disabled."
When using emnify SIMs, two states must be aligned for the SIM to get online
- the SIM must be "activated"
and
- the endpoint/device must be "enabled"It's quite easy to activate the SIM via API and not enable the device and if the "Endpoint enabled" event is missing, it is unlikely that it was enabled.
Below is an example of the events for SIM and endpoint when switching connectivity off and on again:

Hello Joseph,
Thx a lot for your feedback!
I am not operating with the API, i do not even know it!
I only have registered the simcard once in austria some time ago via the GUI.
I have the sim card in a SIM7080g Device, i access this via an ESP32 S3 board.
I use the arduino tinygsm library, basically modem.init() and modem.gprsConnect() is what i use in the firmware of our IOT board. All works in austria, here in italy now it does not work...

The device (also known as endpoint) is used to configure policies, lock the IMEI etc. and if there is a misalignment of device state and SIM state, then the error message that you see is expected.
https://docs.emnify.com/portal/connected-devices#configure-the-device-statusWhen the SIM was in use in Austria, both the SIM and the assigned device states were aligned (activated and enabled).
Can you please try resetting the state of the connected device using the enabled/disabled slider once and if that doesn't solve the issue, opening a ticket to check if there is some other issue using our support form: https://support.emnify.com/hc/en-us/articles/4414999111698-How-to-contact-EMnify-Support

Hi Joseph,
i have already opened a ticket: Sim Karte funktioniert nicht in Italien – emnify
After activating/deactivating i get this:
but still it does not work.
I get the same entries if the device is not even trying to connect...
I have no clue, maybe something with the sim-card, or the modem, or the antenna...
Do you have an idea how to dig deeper?
Thx, Wolfgang
