    Hi Matthias,

According to my research, with the older version, i.e. DRX, the times were dictated by the network but with eDRX, the eDRX cycle (i.e. the sleep times) are defined by the cellular modem, not the network. So, the appropriate time settings need to be chosen by the application developer.

Please also check our up-to-date page for LTE-M and PSM/eDRX availability page.
    https://www.emnify.com/lte-m-coverage

Currently, e-DRX on LTE-M is available with Telefonica O2 in Germany in the "validated" state, not "Guaranteed".
Validated means "LTE-M availability is frequently tested and confirmed by EMnify for this network."

    Regards,
    Ertan

Can you share the setting you use when validating O2? When I try to connect to the nework here at our site, eDRX is not available on O2. Vodafone instead seems to work partly. I'd like to figure out what we might need to change. Thank you and best regards. Matthias

    Hi Matthias,

I obtained the requested information from our team that made the test as below.

The tests were made in Berlin and Nuremberg for LTE CAT.M1 on Telefonica O2 with the eDRX cycle set to 20.48s.

    Regards,
    Ertan
