Permanent Roaming in Turkey
Definition of Permanent Roaming in Turkish legislation:
Permanent roaming is the international roaming service received by an IMSI with an MCC that is different than 286 by leaving traces in the local network(s) without voice call communication (voice call initiation, voice call termination) or short message (SMS) initiation for more than 90 (ninety) days cumulatively in 120 (one hundred and twenty) consecutive days.
Application of the law
As of today and per our own investigation and official sources, all foreign devices using a permanent international roaming service active in Turkey will have 90 days cumulatively in 120 consecutive days Of connectivity. Service will then be cut in the next 30 days with or without registration of the device with the authorities.
